Back to School

Back to School
Image of boy wearing a face maskSchool is returning to full-time in-person classes on October 5. With school being online since March, we have gotten used to the routine of waking up at 8:30 in our pajamas and getting on Zoom. That's about to change. We will have to wake up early, look nice, worry about keeping our masks on all day, and practice social distancing. All the desks in the classrooms have to be 3 feet apart and that means no more partner work or talking/ whispering during class. Going back to school will be scary but also exciting. A large majority of us have relied on looking answers up on the Internet or copying from friends’ papers because it was easy, but that’s not going to be an option anymore as teachers can monitor us closer now. The upside is we will learn better; lots of students struggled trying to learn online and that caused many to cheat. The staff is also excited to get back and see their students. Superintendent Mr. Parker said he is “most concerned about the student and staff health and safety.” Everyone is excited to see what this year holds! Good Luck and see you Monday!
