Parent Update
Rocket LogoDear Rocket Families,

It is our sincere hope that this letter finds each of you doing well amidst the ever-changing world around us. We know that this is a very trying time for everyone, especially our families. We also know that while none of us have ever experienced a pandemic, we are all doing our best to move forward. Certainly, the experiences we are having now will make all of us stronger in the future.

As those of you who follow Governor Dewine’s updates are aware, things are changing daily. In looking at our current situation with the “stay at home” order it looks unlikely that we will be headed back to the brick and mortar we call school anytime soon. With this in mind, our school team has been busy preparing learning opportunities to keep our students engaged from the home environment. We are making plans to transition from our extended spring break to an alternative learning model that will include online learning as well as paper packet learning.

On Monday, April 6, our teachers will begin to push out online learning opportunities for our students. Packets will be mailed to those families who have shared a need for printed materials due to the lack of technology resources at home. Our suggestion is to work through the activities provided and keep them as a resource for future lessons and for digital discussions you may have with your teachers. We challenge each student to work on a few academic tasks each day and to follow their teacher online where possible. It is our hope that these learning experiences will not only help us to stay connected to you but also to keep your students engaged in learning and growth.

The next few weeks will not be easy. There will be mistakes, problems, and concerns along the way, but there will also be successes, happiness, and fun! Our goal is to support you through this challenging time while making education meaningful. Frustrations are high due to the current circumstances, and we want to ensure that your child’s education doesn’t add to that frustration.
Should you have any questions along the way, we will be here. Just contact the High School or Elementary office, and we will connect you with the answers you need.
