Positive Rocket Awards

Positive Rocket Awards
Picture of our two Rocket Award Winners for the Month of SeptemberThis year, Berne Union is implementing a new positive recognition system for our 7-12th graders. There are so many positive things that our students are doing here at Berne Union, that we had to come up with a way to share the news! Teachers will be looking for the good behaviors, actions, and deeds of our students and sending home Positive Rocket Rewards for being organized, responsible, setting a good example, giving best efforts, helping, being sensitive to others’ feelings, being prepared, or any other positive trait the teachers notice! Rocket Rewards are bright yellow post-cards that will be mailed home in order to share teachers’ recognition. Be on the lookout for these in the mailbox, and be proud of the good that you are doing here at BU!

Also, for the 7th and 8th graders, there is a new Student of the Month program. Again, teachers wanted to acknowledge the wonderful things our students are doing at school. So, each month, our 7th and 8th grade teachers will nominate the outstanding students in their class for being role model ROCKETS: Responsible, Outstanding effort, Citizenship, Kindness, Ethical behavior, Teamwork, and Showing leadership. One 7th and one 8th grade student will be chosen as the winner and receive prizes that were generously donated by local businesses along with some BU swag. A special thanks goes out to McDonalds, Wendy’s, Stoneburners, and Pizza Hut for their generous donations!

Let’s be proud of all our accomplishments here at Berne Union. Go Rockets!
