2018 Yearbooks

The 2018 yearbooks are here!

If you wish to pick up a purchased yearbook, call the high school office before noon (740-746-9956), provide a name, and pick it up by the end of the day. If you call later than noon, you will have to pick up the yearbook during the next school day.

A limited number of extra yearbooks are available for purchase. Please contact the high school office and ask to speak to the yearbook adviser if you are interested in purchasing a yearbook. Continue Reading 2018 Yearbooks

Elementary Book Fair


Elementary Library will be hosting the Enchanted Forest Book Fair from September 4th, 2018 to September 10th, 2018. You can shop from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 daily, on Family Night, September 5th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m, and on-line from August 29th, 2018 to September 11th, 2018. (scholastic.com/fair)

Letter to parents RE: Threat 11/9/2017


Dear Parent(s) and Berne Union Community;

We are writing to keep you informed of a serious issue that occurred at Berne Union High School.

On Thursday, November 9, after school hours, Berne Union High School was made aware of a threat against the school. Upon learning of the threat, Berne Union administrators immediately reported this to the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department. Based on our communication with local law enforcement, the situation was handled and is being further investigated by the deputies. Since individuals were taken into custody and due to the action taken by the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department, we believe that school did not need to be cancelled on Friday, November 10. The Berne Union Veterans Committee would once again like to announce the “Mike Spires Community Service Scholarship.” Mike Spires was a military veteran who continued his commitment to service after his enlisted time ended. Mike was a great leader of our community and a huge supporter of anything and everything Berne Union.  To ensure his legacy we have created this annual scholarship to be awarded to a Berne Union Senior who has exemplified the same qualities of Mike including, experience in community service and/or volunteerism as well as qualities of compassion towards others. Berne Union’s Theater Returns

Berne Union is reviving theater with the upcoming production of “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon”, a comedic re-telling of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. The cast has been working since early September on the production which will be held November 20 and 21 at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $8.00 or $5.00 for seniors or students. 2015 Graduation Information / Senior Events

Dear Senior Parent:

As you are well aware, graduation is rapidly approaching. Graduation will be on Sunday, May 24, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are not required and the ceremony will be in the gymnasium. There will be a graduation rehearsal at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22. Attendance at this rehearsal is mandatory if a graduate is to participate in the ceremony.
